Joey’s favorite food is sandwiches.
Actually, who doesn’t appreciate an exceptional sandwich?
If you are a sandwich lover and you’ve got time pick one of these places for a weekend lunch date.
The Committed Pig
Their motto is “when you’re committed to success it shows” and oh baby it shows on each and every plate.
Perfection, their burgers are served on cronuts.
Equally important, these four little words, sweet potato waffle fries (drool).
Not to be overlooked are pancakes, french toast, and pork rolls. Don’t miss the grilled cheese with brie and fig preserve.
Le Bon Choix
11 Godwin Ave , Ridgewood, NJ
In my humble opinion, this understated and homey French cafe serves up the best chicken sandwich on the planet.
Get the cote de rhone sandwich. And get it bocuse style.
Prepare yourself for melt in your mouth perfect rotisserie chicken nestled into fresh brioche bread with coleslaw and Gruyere cheese, swimming in tangy espresso barbecue sauce. Bocuse sytle means adding a crispy piece of chicken skin and a fried egg, which is worth every penny and then some.
Everything on the menu no doubt comes with equal amounts of excellence, some other must-tries are side of potatoes au gratin, salads, and french onion soup.
Finally, after you’ve died and gone to heaven, get the waitress to brew you up a perfect cafe au lait.
549 Rt 17, Tuxedo Park NY
Bakery, cafe, coffeehouse, farmhouse, local hangout, Dottie Audrey’s doesn’t ever disappoint.
The staff is happy and positive.
The bread is freshly baked.
The restaurant is cozy and clean and cute with a family feel.
The whitefish sandwich will knock your socks off.
The cheesy grits will reappear in your dreams.
The massive fluffy blueberry pancakes will make you smile from ear to ear.
Can they do no wrong?? They can do more right…
Interestingly, the same owners recently expanded next door to open “Keystone Hoagies”, offering up sandwiches. such as Philly cheese steak, Italian, turkey pesto and fried pork belly.
In addition, get a side of fries to go with your massive sandwich which is of course on Dottie’s exquisite freshly baked bread.
Indeed, these sandwiches are on point. Eat and enjoy.
