Coffee, it’s good for all living organisms except dogs and bunnies.
But where to find the best of said elixir in the Hudson Valley?
If you are a #hudsonvalleyhipster look no further than this blog post.
549 Route 17, Tuxedo Park, NY
This bakery and cafe serves up some killer food, I’ve never gotten anything here that was less than incredibly perfect and delicious. But the coffee is great, too! Drip coffee, lattes, specialty drinks. Dottie Audrey’s can do no wrong! It’s got some farmhouse French country kitchen vibes and some lovely outdoor seating.
516 Main Street, Boonton
This coffee shop screams hipster. Part coffee roasters, part cafe, with a strong focus on quality fresh roasted beans, this place offers up incredibly delicious coffees. Get a latte or a cold brew and hang out for a while. We love the decor and couches and tables and chill vibes.

Fresh roasted coffee is brewed before your eyes on this bicycle powered cart in Woodstock, NY. Seek the famed and elusive nitro cold brew in front of Overlook Mountain bike shop and if it’s not there don’t give up, Carl and the cart are somewhere nearby. A portion of every coffee sale is donated to charity called Maya Pedal’s. They provide pedal-powered machines to improve the quality of life and economic capabilities of communities in Central America.

Funky, unconventional, cool, and it’s all for sale, from the chair you’re sitting on to the freshly baked goods you can smell walking in the front door. Find a quiet corner and sip your cold brew and chew your cheese scone (a must try) all while considering how adorable these antiques would look in your own home.

Come for the strong, freshly brewed single origin coffee, fall in love with the pastries, and keep coming back because the gorgeous patio behind the shop is to die for. Everything here is gluten free and baked fresh daily, so you should probably try it all. Don’t skip the quiche and have no shame in also grabbing a chocolate peanut butter cookie. Love the down to earth employees, fresh flowers, how you can grab your own water from the stack of clean mason jars and just the general chill vibes.
Irving Farm Coffee Roasters
44 Main Street, Millerton, NY
Soup, sandwiches, fresh lemonade and cold brew, what more could you want? A place to sit down and enjoy it all I guess. This is a chain that crawled its way up and out of Manhattan while originally being from Hudson valley hmm. Yes the Millerton location is where all the roasting started. Def worth a try.
2 Alices Coffee Lounge

117 Broadway, Newburgh
Understated 2 Alice’s has a variety of interesting bagel options to pair with your hot mocha or black ninja tea latte. There is plenty of seating (designed and created by a local woodsman) and free Wi-Fi. With the owners toasting your bagel or at least close by it’s a cute and friendly place you will enjoy chilling on a Saturday morning. Or come for beer wine and trivia on Thursday nights.
Bank Square Coffeehouse
129 Main Street, Beacon
Cozy couches, great décor, baristas are professional enough to brew a perfect cup. Take your perfect latte to the expansive outdoor seating area, sit under the trees and string light, and socialize with other patrons or dive into your book. It’s lovely, outdoorsy, with chill vibes. Perfect except for the giant furbie like billboard covering half the building’s exterior, wha???
