Auntie El’s – A Hudson Valley Market

If you ever pass through Sloatsberg be sure to stop at Auntie El’s farmers market plus bakery plus cafe plus plant shop plus antique store.

Give one of the resident dogs a pet too, because they are huge and adorable and super loving.

Though a bit divey, this place more than compensates for it’s antique vibe by the sheer abundance of locally sourced and interesting items for sale.

Do you know any other market to buy local incense? Not I!

Plenty of varieties of local honey make it difficult to choose, what a great problem for a hippie market to have!

House-made jellies lined up so evenly and straight appeal to my OCD and my taste buds! This whole place is my jam!

The sprawling outdoors plant shop boasts a huge variety of greenery to purchase, even those decorative gnomes you know you need!

Fresh bakery goods too are delicious and abundant in variety. Also fresh squeezed juices, salads, sandwiches and just look at those donuts…

But perhaps best of all are the two sweet dogs that are part hospitality crew, part farmers market mascots. I mean look at that sweet face!

Give em a hug and a kiss on the way out.

Also noteworthy are the antique store in the back and the kids play place outdoors.

Seriously, this place screams interesting!

Give it a try and let us know what you think!

It’s a great stop off on your way to Storm King Art Center for some artsy outdoor time.
